Long time...

... no post!! Wow... I've been busy with school, and honestly, I haven't taken a whole lot of pictures lately. I feel like I've been stuck in a very long rut... but thankfully, I think I'm starting to pull out of it. In my art class we were given the assignment for a narrative... I chose to use photography (of course) and I came up with the idea to use Bulimia as my "story". I finished the project tonight and I am SO happy with the results... the storyboard is very long; I wasn't really sure of the right way to do it, but I'm happy with it. I'll include the link on here to open in a new window just because it's so long :)

I did some Snowball pictures for my friend and her group of friends... that was fun. I also did pictures for my friends play, Charlie Brown, and those pictures went in the newspaper!! That was super exciting. Hmm, that's really all I've done lately... the weather has been terrible, and by the time I get home from school, it's just about dark out... I've got to start using the weekends more!!!

I love fall!!!

The colors, the leaves falling... the sunshine, I love it :) I've had lots of sessions lately, it's been fun. I've decided I'm only scheduling photoshoots at sunset, I LOVE the light then... Here's a pic of each of my recent sessions... oh and one of me with my new hair! :)

It's about time...

...for a new post :) I have my camera back. I got an external flash from a photog. in this area, it's a 380ex... old, but it works... so that's cool!! My aunt and uncle and their kids came for a visit last week and I was able to take their pictures, I was soooo happy that I could... they're all so photogenic! Here's some of my favorites:

Randi

I met Randi at school, and after she saw some of my pictures I had printed on the front of my binder, she wanted me to do her senior pics. So she picked me up and we went to her house.... She lives on a farm and has the most amazing locations for pics!!! I was in heaven, lol. Some of my faves:

Life is good.

Ah man. I'm finally having photoshoots on a regular basis... and my camera gives me the 'error 99' message and won't work, at all. It happened right in the middle of my first family session last week... it was ok though, I was able to use a XTi, but since I don't really know that camera, it was sort of hard to use and the pics didn't turn out too good.. I mean I got some good ones, but not a ton that I love... aaaand tonight we went and returned my camera to Costco, they gave us a cash card with the full amount we paid for the camera, and we re-bought it online. Plus, the price dropped a few hundred, so we have some money left. I'm pretty happy :)

So on another note, I'm waiting on my logo, and I have three or four sessions lined up within the next week... three are this weekend :) It's pretty cool... with some of that money I'm going to buy a cheapo $200 bludomain site... Here are some pics from the session last weekend:

Logo!

So I'm having a logo made by Amy of Candy Apple Studios and it's so hard to think of the look I want!! I'm pretty sure I want my website to have a black background, with the links and pictures as the splash of color. So then for my logo, a black background... with orange and pink, red and grey... pink and black? So many options!! I also want it to be elegant and pretty, but reflect my age and personality... I have something else in mind for a logo, but I'm going to have to wait and see about it...

Here are a few pics I played around with, and love :)

Lisa

I did Lisa's senior pictures the other day, and I think they turned out really well. We went to the same places that I took Hannah's, Deanna's, and Rachel's pics at. It's really a 'magical' spot, I tend to get the best shots there!!! It's this old nursery, chipped red paint, tall grasses, soooo pretty... Here's some of my faves from the day:

Finally...

I have a blog. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it updated regularly. :) It feels good to have my business name decided on, now all I have to do is get a website, logo, and everything else!
In the past week I've had three senior sessions and it's pretty cool...
